Animal ID: 2016-0902 RogerRoger (male)

Brittany    Age: Young Adult

Personality: High Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I know, I'm a really handsome Brittany. My story is short and kinda sad. You see, it seems that my family dumped me (and my best friend, a Black Lab girl 'Becky') at a lake resort near the Texas Hill Country. Some very nice folks contacted a local shelter and then BRIT was contacted. So here I am. I don't remember anything before that. I'm so happy that BRIT saved me and my best friend (even though she isn't a Brittany). I'm a total newcomer to BRIT. Today I came from a shelter to the great land of BRIT's rescued Brittanys. Now that I have that out of the way, hi everyone - my name is ROGER! Yes indeed and I'm a very sweet, loving, ... (Read More)affectionate and snuggly wonderful fella. No one (including me) knows anything about me so please help me find a foster home asap!!! Once I'm in a loving foster home, we will report back with updates on my personality. Roger will be neutered, brought up to date on all his shots and microchipped. Unfortunately, it appears that Roger is heartworm positive and will need to go through heartworm treatment - he desperately needs a foster to help him for the next six weeks to get over these nasty heartworms - can you help this sweet boy? Animal ID: 2016-0702 RockyRocky (male)

Brittany Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Personality: Average Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I know, I'm adorable, but I don't look like a 'regular' Brittany. Well, here's the deal: I'm not a full Brittany. A wonderful lady was passing by and saved my life - after I was mauled by 8 dogs in my back yard. We have no idea what I'm blended with (we all see the Brittany in me, but the other part is a guess: possibly a terrier of some sort - maybe a wirehaired Dachsund (I heard someone say that) - or some other combo). Does it really matter? Anyway, we're just not sure, but you'll have to agree that I am pretty darn cute. Now that I have that out of the way, hi everyone - my name is ROCKY - I'm a boy! I'm a very sweet, loving, ... (Read More)affectionate and snuggly wonderful young pup. I love to play with toys. While I was at my short term foster home, I learned how to ring the bell at the back door to go outside - so you can see how smart I am. I'm taking notes on what it's like to be a Brittany - it's a fun club to be in. Just don't forget that I'm definitely all puppy! Rocky has had his first round of puppy shots (more to come) and has been neutered. He is on heartworm preventative and microchipped. He sure would like be in his forever (or even foster) home right now. If you are interested in Rocky, please visit our website for more photos and our adoption application. (Less)

Animal ID: 2016-0503 GordoGordo (male)

Brittany    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

UPDATE ON GORDO: I have just gone into a wonderful foster home '| they are working with me to get past my fears and lack of self confidence '| then I'll be an absolutely wonderful Brittany boy and you won't be able to resist me. So far I haven't had any accidents in the house, so I must be housebroken. + + + My name is 'Gordo.' Don't you just love how cute I am? I am so happy to be a new member of BRIT's Brittanys and on the way to finding my forever home. I have a short and sort of sad story - none of which I remember. Fortunately, I'm now a member of BRIT and will be in a foster home soon. All I can tell you is that I'm very ... (Read More)shy - and inexperienced in life. BRIT thinks I may have been banned to the back yard and never experienced what it's like to have a family to love me. I'm counting on you to change that! Gordo has been neutered, is up to date on all his shots, heartworm negative and on preventative and is microchipped. He is ready for his foster OR forever home. (Less)

Animal ID: 2016-0307 ZinZin (female)

Brittany    Age: Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello everyone, my name is 'Zin.' My story is a bit sad - you see my Dad passed away a few months ago and my family could no longer care for me. BRIT stepped in and brought me into their program and promised to find me a new home right away and I'm going to hold them to that. They say that I'm affectionate and always happy and excited to see people; I love to run and play - but they mentioned that I need an 8 foot fence. Ihave no idea why they say that '| I will be going into a foster home soon so look for BRIT to update my story as they get to know me. Zin has been spayed, is up to date on all her shots, heartworm negative and on ... (Read More)preventative and microchipped. She is ready for her forever home. (Less)

Animal ID: 2015-0703 SmokeSmoke (male)

Brittany    Age: Senior

Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

UPDATE from foster Dad 4-20-16: Allow me to introduce myself'|..I am 'Smoke'! Yes, that's my real name - pretty awesome don't you think? My favorite thing ever is being outside--I'm a fence running, squirrel watching, sunbathing Brittany! I'm very well-wannered and won't bolt outside if you open the door, I'll sit patiently until I hear, 'Go Ahead!' I also know how to sit, stay, come, make a circle, and when I hear 'Inside!' I'll bolt right in! I'm great with other dogs, raised with cats and good with kiddos--even in large crowds! I'm housebroken with no accidents ever. I love to be loved on and will nuzzle and 'purr'- I'm a very ... (Read More)affectionate boy. So why haven't I been adopted yet!? My story is short and kind of sad. You see an animal control officer found me wandering the streets - it seems I jumped out of my yard and broke my ankle last June. BRIT has taken care of the surgery and helped with my recovery. Now I love to run around outside on all four, and I'm ready for my forever home! +++++ (Less)
