Animal ID: 2016-0108 BentleyBentley (male)

Brittany    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi everyone, my name is 'Bentley.' I'm a good looking boy, don't ya think ? I don't have a sad story other than my family made the tough decision to find me a new home because I kept escaping from the yard and they were afraid that I would get hurt. It's true I do suffer a bit from separation anxiety and want to be with my people ALL the time. Other than that 'little' issue, I'm absolutely wonderful %81S I've joined the ranks of BRIT Brittanys and here's some info on me: I'm housebroken, love other dogs and cats, love people, toys, toys and more toys. And oh yeah I LOVE water - I love to jump into the pond, river or pool and swim to my ... (Read More)heart's content. My new home needs to have at least an 8 foot privacy fence all the way around. Believe me I get carried away with whatever is on the other side of the fence and can easily hop over anything shorter than eight feet. Oh yes, and I am a very fun and very special Brittany boy. They tell me that I'm not only beautiful, but am very loving and affectionate and whoever adopts me will be incredibly lucky - that makes me feel really special. Bentley has been neutered, is up to date on all his shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm preventative and microchipped. AND ready for his forever home! (Less)

Animal ID: 2016-0107 JoeJoe (male)

Brittany    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hello world, I'm Joe and I am one happy and handsome little boy'|a French Brittany, to be exact. I've been with my foster family, officially, for one whole week and it's been a blast. I'm getting along wonderfully with my foster Brittany sisters. I love to point, chase squirrels and climb to the top of the fence to see where they've gone! When I'm not outside running in the yard, I really enjoy being around all of my friends. We squeak a lot of toys in between our backyard adventures and naps. When evening rolls around, I love laying beside my foster mom. She calls me a little snuggle bug. I'm really great at being a 'good boy.' I sit, ... (Read More)shake, mind when I'm called. I'm also really good a 'dropping it' when I'm told to do so. Joe would do best in a home with no small children. Joe is up to date on all his shots, is heartworm negative and on preventative, neutered, and microchipped. And ready for his forever home! Animal ID: 2016-0106 RaiderRaider (male)

Brittany    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

My name is 'Raider.' I was adopted from BRIT a few years ago, but things in my family's life have changed and they called BRIT to see if they could find me another perfect home. Please don't feel sorry for me, I've had the best years of my life. I'm proud to be back in the great land of BRIT's rescued Brittanys. I am such a handsome boy and I've only gotten better in the last few years. Let's see what I can tell you about me: I am housebroken, love to go on walks, and a very sweet and loving Brittany boy. One good thing in my life is my sister 'Scarlet' - please read her story '| we would love to find our new forever home together - we ... (Read More)are a dynamic duo. From his Mom: 'Raider is an awesome Brittany! He loves to fetch but after two times he's done. He is not much of a cuddler but does like his tummy scratched and loves to be with his family. He knows 'sit' and 'stay' but sometimes doesn't stay very long - darn Brittany anyway. Raider also knows the word 'bed' and heads straight for the crate. Between 9:30-10:00 every night he looks at me like 'can we go to bed now?' I open the drawer where the dental treats are and he heads straight for bed/crate.' Raider has been neutered, is up to date on all his shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. He is ready for his forever home. (Less)

Please don't feel sorry for me, I've had the best years of my life with my awesome family. And now I'm proud to be back in the great land of BRIT's rescued Brittanys again. One good thing in my life is my brother 'Raider' - please read his story '| we would love to find our new forever home together - we are a dynamic duo. From her Mom: 'Scarlet is a sweet pea! You can tell she was raised primarily outside before she came to us. She will track until her nose is ... (Read More)raw and loves being outside. But she is a lover and wants in your lap or right beside you if you sit down. She is good on a leash. She's a petite girl weighing about 28 lbs. Animal ID: 2016-0104 ChesterChester (male)

Brittany Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Let me start off by saying that my family has a lot of great things to say about me, but I'll just hit the highlights %81S I'm a really great boy and whoever adopts me will thank their lucky stars to have such an awesome boy in their family. I have one request, I really would like another dog to play with (see below). I could go on and on, but you get the general idea - I'm quite the 'catch.' Oh yeah, and I'm housebroken. I know I look like a really large Brittany. Well I'm a Brittany Blend. We're thinking I'm blended with Great Pry (a calm breed) - such a wonderful combination. Since you really can't say that boys are 'adorable,' let's ... (Read More)leave it at: I am handsome! They say I'm the sweetest boy! I love to play ball, go for walks, and really love to play with other dogs at the dog park. That's why I want to have another dog in my home to play with and keep me company! And, people, of course - cuz I crave being petted, hugged and loved on. If you have kitties, no worries, I love them too. Chester has been neutered, is up to date on all his shots, heartworm negative and on preventative and is microchipped. He is ready for his forever home now. (Less)

Animal ID: 2016-0103 GamblerGambler (male)

Brittany    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I have been in a foster home for a while now and I LOVE these people (I know they love me too). I am ready for my forever home '| I you know you can't wait to make that happen '| I am full of personality, I do smile and prance around (pretty cute if I do say so myself). I am housebroken, love other dogs (not so much cats) and, of course, I love people. I'm a very sweet, loving, affectionate and playful girl. I know I don't look like a 'regular' Brittany. Well, here's the situation: I'm may not be a full Brittany (or I might be). We have no idea what I'm blended with (we're thinking French Brittany). Does it really matter? BRIT saved my ... (Read More)life (from a high kill shelter) and that's what counts. Anyway, we're just not sure, but you'll have to agree that I am pretty darn cute. Angie has been spayed, updated on her shots, microchipped and being treated for heartworms with monthly medications. She is ready for her forever home! Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I know, I know - I'm a pretty cute guy, actually incredibly adorable (so I'm told). I have a short but not too sad story. My family had to re-home me - there that's it ! Now that I have that out of the way, hi everyone - my name is CHAUNCEY - I'm a boy! I'm a very sweet, loving, affectionate and snuggly wonderful young pup. I'm pretty much the best youngster you'd want to meet. I'm housebroken, love other dogs and really love people. I must admit that children make me nervous, so if you have any of those, they need to be over 10 years old and calm %BD'%BD| I do know a few 'tricks' such as sit, lay down and shake - and I'd love to learn ... (Read More)more fun 'tricks.' Remember I'm still a pup and a Brittany one at that, so you can count on me being a typical busy and active boy. Chauncey is up to date on his shots, heartworm preventative and has been neutered as well as microchipped. He's in a great foster home and will be ready for his forever home in the next few weeks. Rescue Me ID: 15-12-21-00268Dodger (male)

Brittany Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered

Dodger is a sweet, friendly, 2-3 year old youngster. He is clearly very much English Setter, but there is also some speculation that he could be a Brittany/English Setter blend. Whatever the breeding, the result is a calmer than typical youngster who is friendly, loving and doing well in his foster home. Dodger is a Velcro boy and he loves his people. He is looking for his own person to permanently attach to, someone who will take him to the park or hiking trail and let him ride around in the car with the windows partly open. He wants to please and cuddle and relax on the couch with you. He tells you when it is time for breakfast and ... (Read More)dinner, and will do anything for a treat including training. He knows his rescue name, and enjoys walks and rough play with his two Setter friends. He seems equally happy with his foster mom or dad, and snuggles close on the couch at night. He loves to touch faces and smiles at us or people he meets in the park. Dodger would like a home with another dog to play and run with, and to follow around. He enjoys being around other dogs, and responds well to walks with the two resident dogs. He would be a candidate as an only dog as long as the family is home most of the time. We do not think he lived inside prior to rescue, and crating will assist in continuing his house training and house manners. He would love to go to obedience training with his new person as a bonding exercise and to teach him basic commands. He wants to please and just needs consistent training and patience. His recall is good, but he needs to be on leash at all times when he is outside a fenced area. He does respond to treats for training and loves to eat! He likes to chew on deer antlers to burn off energy. He interacts well with older children, wags his tail at children in the parks and is willing to be petted; however, the noise of younger children and a loud house disturbs him so he will not be considered for a home with children under the age of eleven. He likes visitors and greets us when we get home. He needs a home with a balance between busy and quiet time. When he is ready for quiet time he self-crates so he clearly likes his quiet/down time, and puts himself to bed when he is ready. He would not do well with cats because of his prey instinct. Dodger loves being outside. He needs a home with a secure yard with a physical fence where he can 'work' the yard and self-exercise. He is not a crazy/zoom-zoom Setter. He is more of a methodical dog working the yard at a calmer pace. He likes to 'manage' the squirrels in the yard and will watch them through the windows. Deer in the neighborhood or the local parks also are of interest, and you better hang onto the leash because he wants to chase! Birds are also interesting. Dodger would not do well with an electronic training collar because he has some apprehension with people and things in their hands. He hesitates when groomed, but he has progressed to let us wipe off muddy paws, brush him and wash his face. He is a sensitive boy and needs a gentle hand, no physical or harsh training techniques. Dodger is a loving, young dog who wants to please. He likes to be hugged and petted and told 'good dog' especially when we come home. He also likes to sit near you at dinner or just watch you, and he loves being face to face with you. Dodger is sweet, adapting well to his household, and he needs someone who will be patient with him. He is ready for his new home and family. Are you ready for this unusually calm Setter boy? He is heartworm negative, microchipped, crate trained, fully vetted and ready for his 'furever' home. Dodger is in a foster home in Colorado Springs, CO. (Less)

Animal ID: 2015-1004 ScoutScout (male)

Brittany    Age: Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Scout' is an 8 year old male recently surrendered by his owner. He is a big boy at about 53.0 lbs. From the previous owner: 'Scout has been a ranch dog for some time.' What that tells us is that he has been an outside dog for some time. From Foster Mom: 'He craves attention, loves his couch time as well as his outside time. He gets along great with the fosters Brittany and English Setter as long as the English Setter is in control. (LOL) He is submissive when that happens and tends to walk away. From his vet records, it shows that he was boarded quite a bit and that is evident when I kennel him at night. The first night he barked for ... (Read More)quite some time. The second night we used a bark control collar and he slept through the night. Scout is a big strong boy! He knows 'sit' and 'no.' He does well on the leash with another dog with him but pulls a bit by himself. Scout is afraid of thunderstorms and previously had meds prescribed to him to calm him during storms. I diffused lavender throughout the day this past week as well as applied some to his paws and Thundershirt and all that calmed him. OVERALL Scout is a great Brittany who just wants someone to love and pamper him instead of sending him off to a boarding facility. He will make someone a great companion. Scout has been neutered, is up to date on his shots, heartworm negative and on preventative. He also has been microchipped. He is ready for his forever home. (Less)

My name is 'Bandit.' Don't you just love how cute I am? I'm mostly Brittany with a little sprinkling of Cocker Spaniel (but not much). Cockers are fine, but we Brittanys are AWESOME. I am so happy to be a new member of BRIT's Brittanys and on the way to finding my forever home. I've overheard them talking about me and saying that I AM a very active boy - ready to get going '| and something about needing training. So, we all know that's not an issue. I will still need to be kept quiet and calm (good luck with that) '| you see although I'm ten years old, I have the energy of a two year old Brittany !     Hi my name is Brodie. I am an orange and white hunk of boy joy! I love people to give me kisses, belly rubs, cuddles and roll and play on the ground. As you can see I have a great physique and would love an active life. I'm looking for someone to run and play with me daily and in the evening I'll lay in your lap and watch TV. I will be faithful and loyal to you for the rest of my life. I would love to run and jog with you. Playing fetch is definitely one of my favorite pastimes. The folks at BRIT tell me I need lots space to run and might even enjoy some recreational hunting. I have lots of energy to burn, but I will sit on command and get ... (Read More)very excited when you tell me to shake paw. I'm a quick learner and look forward to learning new commands from you. I have a girlfriend named Sophie, who lives at the boarding place where I hang out. We have a total blast romping and playing together. However, I'm an only child at heart and don't like bossy or pushy dogs'|they are just a little too much for me. Can you blame me for wanting to be your only child so I can get ALL your attention?     Hello everyone, my name is 'Sophie.' BRIT thinks I may be a Brittany/Golden Retriever blend - check out my gorgeous tail. I'm a super sweet girl - my foster family tells me I am - they've given me the confidence I need to be the best girl ever. They have spent a lot of time loving me and exposing me to many different situations and helping me work through my fear of new people and new situations. They are very proud of my progress. Foster Mom: Sophie's progress has been nothing short of amazing!!! She no longer seems afraid of everything, in fact she's quite outgoing .. even with men! She is an affectionate girl but not very active. Not to ... (Read More)be mean, but most of the time she's a door stop with occasional bursts of running and play. A retired family who wants an awesome companion who is low key would be the perfect family for this sweet girl. Sophie does get startled at loud noises, but she recovers very quickly and keeps on going. If children are in Sophie's new family, she would do best with children ten years old or older who will respect her need for gentleness. I am overweight and the vet has me on a serious diet - I've lost 5 pounds and need to lose another 20 pounds - please help me with that. The good news is that I am housebroken. So I ask that you not waste any time. Please fill out an application if you think I'm the girl for you. I'm looking for my forever family. I want a family that will love me and give me a secure home life. I promise I'll love you too and we'll have a great life together forever and ever.
